About

I picked up a camera for the first time when I was in high school. It was an old Praktica SLR that my dad had given me. I was hooked on creating photographs from then on.
I studied photography at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario and from there I began assisting numerous photographers. I have covered countless events over the years, everything from weddings to sports, and 6 appearances at the Juno Awards. I have also done extensive work behind the scenes, from darkroom work at local newspapers to printing in various professional image labs. I prefer to do everything myself, as that allows me complete control over my final product. I love to photograph people, trying to capture their emotions. I am equally at home on a hike with my camera in hand.

“The decision as to when to photograph, the actual click of the shutter, is partly controlled from the outside, by the flow of life, but it also comes from the mind and the heart of the artist. The photograph is his vision of the world and expresses, however subtly, his values and convictions.” – Paul Strand
